About this Event
San Mateo Remembers is part of , a weeklong festival of free programs highlighting stories, ideas, and community.
This year’s program features a screening of A Little Fellow, a documentary portrait of A. P. Giannini, the visionary founder of Bank of America. In the early twentieth century, Giannini transformed banking by extending credit to working families, immigrants, and small businesses—reshaping access to capital in the modern economy.
The screening takes place just steps from the historic Bank of America building where Giannini once kept an office, and only a few blocks from his former home—offering a rare opportunity to reflect on his legacy in the very neighborhood where he lived and worked.
Director Davide Fiore will join us for a post-film conversation and audience Q&A.
Presented during the twentieth anniversary year of the Main Library building, San Mateo Remembers invites the community to reflect on the individuals and ideas that have shaped the region’s civic and cultural life.
