Enjoy an evening of music when the San Juan College Orchestra performs on Friday, November 18, at 7 p.m., in the Henderson Fine Arts Performance Hall.The San Juan College Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Teun B. Fetz, will perform beautiful, lovely, lively music for the full orchestra and strings. Included in this concert will be a special performance of The Christmas Concerto by Arcangelo Corelli featuring Tennille Taylor on the violin, Cathy Pope on the violin and Has Freuden on the cello
The Orchestra will perform several pieces including Blue Tango by Leroy Anderson; Fidelio Overture by Ludwig Van Beethoven; Huapango Del Oso by Gabriel Musella; Prelude to 49th Parallel by Ralph Vaughn Williams; Rhosymedre by Ralph Vaughn Williams; Shannon Falls by Ralph Ford; and Summer Dances by Brian Balmages.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Tickets are available online, at the San Juan College Bookstore, as well as in person at the door the evening of the performance. Online ticket sales will be available until midnight on November 17, by visiting sanjuancollege.edu/events and clicking on Events. Then click on the San Juan College Orchestra Concert tile. Tickets can also be purchased at the San Juan College Bookstore Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. All area music students will have free admission.
