San Joaquin Valley Portuguese Festival Bullfight

The Carlos Vieira Foundation is proud to host the 5th Annual San Joaquin Valley Portuguese Festival presented by PFSA, the Portuguese Fraternal Society of America! The festival will be held at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in Turlock, CA on April 19th - 21th, 2024.

The celebration is open to ALL people to come discover the culture and heritage of the Portuguese people and honor their contributions to the San Joaquin Valley and the state of California. This family-friendly event will showcase traditional Portuguese dancing, music, and cuisine.

The festival will be kicked off on Friday April 19th by Bull on a Rope by Joe Vaz, followed by a special performance by Rodrigo Leal and his full band with a tribute to his father Robeto Leal! Gates open at 4:30pm on Friday.

On Saturday, there will be a Portuguese parade followed by plenty of activities including folklore and philharmonic performances, a wine and cheese tasting, a cultural exhibit, carnival rides, and plenty of Portuguese food and craft vendors. We will also have exciting performances on the 51FIFTY Stage throughout the day. Back by popular demand is our MC Vavo Brito, and performances by Sara Cruz, Ana Malhoa and Jose Malhoa! Stay for the after party with DJ Bruno Furtado. Admission and parking on Friday and Saturday are FREE!
Gates open at 10am on Saturday.

Come back on Sunday, April 21st to join us for a traditional Portuguese Bloodless Bullfight! Gates open at 2pm for the carnival, bar, and food booth. The bullfight starts at 4pm and will be followed by an after party with DJ Marcos Shalom. Admission to the fairgrounds carnival area and parking are FREE, tickets for the bullfight Arena are only $15.

Come experience Portuguese culture while supporting a great cause. All proceeds benefit the Carlos Vieira Foundation’s Race for Autism campaign which helps families who have children living with Autism in Central California.
