San Francisco Comedy Competition (Round 2) - 16 Comics - 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Catch round two of an event so hilarious it’s celebrating its 50th year as an annual very San Francisco happening.

Tonight, 2024 champ Frankie Marcos will host 16 contestants delivering their best tight five-minute set.  

For 50 years, the legendary San Francisco Comedy Competition has helped discover and showcase some of the biggest names in comedy. Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Ellen DeGeneres, Sinbad, Louis C.K., Patton Oswalt, Marc Maron, Rob Schneider, Kevin Pollak, Dane Cook, Roseanne Barr, Janeane Garofalo, Bobcat Goldthwait and D.L. Hughley are among the comedians who have competed over the years.

ABOUT THE FUNCTION

The Function is San Francisco’s Black-owned comedy club and cocktail lounge located on Market Street near Civic Center. The venue features murals, mood lighting, comfy couches, and a lush upstairs lounge - creating an intimate setting to catch rising comics before they blow up.
