Join this delightful ‘Best of San Francisco’ food tour leading you to discover and try local tastes in Chinatown. Your small group tour will take to the streets to learn about life in Chinatown by exploring its shops, murals and cultural artifacts.

Start by meeting your foodie guide at the photogenic entry to Chinatown–Dragon’s Gate. Peek into exotic, local shops. Learn the fascinating history of the place going all the way back to Portsmouth Square.

The Chinese Fortune Cookie Factory is a real hidden gem. Taste cookies as they come off the hot cookie press! Be sure to grab a bag to enjoy after dinner. To quench our collective thirst, we’ll visit a Ross Alley shop for milked, iced tea. Pick your favorite boba inclusion.

Next, we will get down to some seriously delicious food. We’ll sit and discuss what we’ve seen while enjoying moon cake from the celebrated Garden Bakery and bites from the House of Dim Sum.

The group will be full of smiles as we approach the end of the tour. Before leaving Chinatown, your small group will take a short walk to an authentic Chinese tea shop where you can choose from hundreds of varieties and your guide will provide more cultural context for your experience. A tasting of teas is included Then, get your phones ready. There will be one final photo stop at the Zodiac Wall.
