About this Event

Join your local Veterans and community for a community River cleanup at the San Diego River, California! Must be 18+ to volunteer.
Due to ongoing terrain mapping to ensure safety and accessibility, the exact location is to be determined.

- With the recent rain, it may be muddier than usual, so please be prepared with clothes that can get a little dirty.
- Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early in order to get checked in. Our group will leave the meeting area roughly 5 minutes after the event starts to go to the project site.
- Long pants and closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED. A hat, sunscreen, or any other types of sun protection are also recommended for all of our outdoor events. No sandals, Tom's or other flats. You must wear sturdy sneakers or hiking shoes.
- In order to cut down on single-use plastics, we request all volunteers bring their own reusable water bottle, and you may wish to bring a light snack.
- We will provide all tools and supplies for you to use.
- For safety reasons, no pets are allowed at this event.
- All volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate.

We value the dedication of our military and volunteers, which is why we offer volunteer hours and Letters of Appreciation (for our Active Duty) for every event.
To request your LOA or volunteer hours, simply indicate your preference when getting your ticket.

Our mission is to remove trash from our planet by empowering Veterans to clean our communities. We accomplish our mission by having Veteran operated teams organize cleanups throughout the U.S. In return, we are giving Veterans a chance to recycle their leadership skills and continue our service in a different and equally important way.
