San Diego Nonprofit Academy

Join us for the San Diego Nonprofit Academy, a two-day comprehensive program presented by The Nonprofit Institute at the University of San Diego, Prebys Foundation, and U.S. Bank. This program is designed to strengthen small-to-midsize nonprofits, grow their impact, and better position them to receive funding from government and other philanthropic partners.

The San Diego Nonprofit Academy (SDNPA) is an award-winning capacity-building program designed to help small and midsize nonprofits expand their impact. Presented by The Nonprofit Institute at the University of San Diego, SDNPA offers interactive courses aimed at enhancing organizational and leadership effectiveness. The curriculum covers essential topics such as board governance, strategic planning, financial management, program design and evaluation, resource development, working with funders, and leadership development.

Participant Outcomes:

• Increased subject matter knowledge
• Increased confidence in ability to lead
• Broadened networks and opportunities for collaboration
• Strong ability to implement knowledge gained as a result of attending

Registration Information:

• Enrollment is limited to 180 participants per day. To receive the best benefit from the program we highly encourage participants to attend both days.
• Parking on Friday will be $18 and attendees are welcome to pre-pay for parking. On Saturday, parking will be free. Attendees will select a registration option as well as a parking option when finalizing their registration.
• A light breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.
• Please be aware that registration alone does not ensure admittance. To be considered, you must meet the requirements outlined below and complete your registration before capacity limits are reached. Those who are admitted will receive a congratulatory acceptance email to the academy by Monday, November 4, 2024.

• Participating organizations must be registered with the IRS as a 501(c)3 organizations.
• Participating organizations must provide programming or services within San Diego and Imperial County.
• Enrollment is limited to two (2) representatives from each organization.
• Priority registration will be given to those who are first time attendees.
