With a PhD from the CICESE Research Center in Ensenada, Mexico, he has held engineering roles at Qorvo, Skyworks, and Qualcomm. He holds 12 U.S. patents and is a frequent presenter at the International Microwave Symposium.

In this presentation, we will delve into the fundamental principles and engineering disciplines that underpin the design and fabrication of high-power RF amplifiers for diverse applications, encompassing wireless communications, electromagnetic pulses, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. The design process encompasses the selection of semiconductor devices, packaging, amplifier operating modes, passive components, and power combining. Additionally, we will provide a comprehensive understanding of RF engineering, elucidating how a seemingly simple RF circuit can transform into a complex challenge during the amplifier design process, and how to effectively address these practical obstacles.
