We’re thrilled that there is so much excitement about the 2022 San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cook-off and Festival. Please make plans to attend the 25th annual event that will take place January 2022 at our home location near the rodeo grounds, S.A.L.E. on Salado Creek (very near the AT&T Center). General Attendees:
There will be SO many things to do and see at the 2022 event, including: LIVE music all day Friday and Saturday; heaps of vendors for shopping, washer pitching tournament; carnival rides and activities for kids, kids cook-off "Buckaroo Que", the Bad Boyz Rodeo, plus plenty of adult beverages. We will also have one of the most entertaining awards ceremonies you’ve ever seen. Wear comfortable shoes and plan on having the best time of your life.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que Cook-Off is a true championship cooking event. The IBCA sanctioned cook-off features over 300 teams of the world's best cookers and pitmasters. Tens of thousands of visitors soak up live music, fun activities and great BBQ all weekend. There are over 370 volunteers on the Bar-B-Que Committee that work to host the event. Proceeds from this event benefit the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Scholarship Fund.

$15 Friday and $15 Saturday
Kids 12 & under and military with valid id are FREE.
Parking Information:
Lots 6 & 7 at AT&T Center (Entrance off of AT&T Parkway). Shuttles will drop off and pick up at Main Gate. ADA Parking will be available. We will also have handicap accessible, ADA compliant shuttles

Entertainment Lineup:
For General Attendees, there are LOTS of things to do at the cook off. We will have live music all day Friday and Saturday, vendors for shopping, plus plenty of beverages and great food to eat.

Know what to expect:
A common misconception is that you get to wander from team to team eating BBQ. Not accurate...
For example,.. At the rodeo you don't get pet all the show animals and ride the contestant horses. That is why there is a petting zoo and pony rides. At NASCAR, you don't get to drive the cars, you just get to watch them drive around in a circle.
SABBQ is ALSO a competition so,... you don't get to taste everything that the 300+ pitmasters are preparing for competition. So, to make sure that you get plenty to eat, we will have quite a few food trucks and a dedicated BBQ vendor.
Most team spaces are private parties and not open to the general public. There are, however many teams that are more than happy to share what they cook. It is always best to ask before you enter. Quite a few teams will be offering tasting samples and asking people to donate to our Kash for Kids program. All of the money from Kash for Kids goes directly to the scholarship fund.
We want everyone to have a great time at our event. It is always better to know what to expect before you arrive.
