The San Antonio Philharmonic launches its 2025–26 Classics Season with a vibrant program led by Music Director Jeffrey Kahane. Rising star pianist Daniela Liebman joins the orchestra for Schumann’s beloved Piano Concerto in A Minor, a work brimming with lyricism, passion, and virtuosity. The evening opens with Silvestre Revueltas protégé, Carlos Chávez’s student, Silvestre Rodríguez’s evocative Tlaloc, inspired by the Aztec rain god. The program culminates with Rachmaninoff’s final orchestral masterpiece, Symphonic Dances, a sweeping score that blends brooding intensity with radiant bursts of color.
