About this Event
Introduction
Learn to ride a bike with Ghisallo Cycling Initiative!
Borrow a bike and helmet at absolutely no cost, and explore our Learn-to-Ride course. This course provides riders with a safe, car-free environment to practice key bike skills; from basic balancing to hand signals.
We welcome riders of all ages and skill levels to join us. Our expert staff will ensure your helmet and bike fit properly, and we'll be there to give guidance as you practice.
Freedom Ride
This event is part of DreamWeek San Antonio's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Freedom Ride. In addition to the Learn-to-Ride area, this event will feature 4, 8, and 15 mile bike rides along the Salado Creek Greenway Trail; food trucks; and more!

Requirements
- all participants must wear a helmet for the entire duration of the ride
- all participants must sign a liability release waiver from Ghisallo Cycling Initiative before riding
- all participants must present a valid ID in order to borrow a bicycle
- all participants under the age of 18 must be checked in by an adult
