Welcome the turning of the year and the thinning of the veil! Join us for a traditional Samhain gathering at our home as we celebrate the ancient Celtic New Year, honor those who came before us, and welcome the darker half of the year.
Costumes: Strongly encouraged—dress up in your festive, seasonal, or traditional best!
Feast: Potluck style. Please bring a dish to share for our communal feast.
Refreshments: BYOB for your preferred drinks.
Music: Traditional Irish tunes setting the atmosphere all evening.
Ancestor Altar: We will have a dedicated space to honor our lineage. Please feel free to bring printed photographs, family crests, or small meaningful mementos to place on the altar for the night.
The Hearth: We will have a cozy outdoor bonfire burning.
Community: We'll also have treats ready for any local trick-or-treaters who stop by!
Traditional Activities & Ways to Participate
In the spirit of old Celtic traditions, feel free to join in on any of these classic observances throughout the evening:
The Dumb Supper / Silent Toast: A quiet moment dedicated to welcoming and remembering our ancestors at the table.
Divination & Reflection: Traditional games of reflection and looking ahead to the coming year.
Turnip & Pumpkin Carving: Keeping away mischievous spirits with glowing carved lanterns by the door.
When: October 31st
Where: Our place in London
Come ready for good food, great music, deep roots, and a wonderful night around the fire!
