🪶 SAMHAIN DRUM MAKING DAY 🪶

Near Okehampton, on the edge of Dartmoor

Have you ever felt the call to make your own medicine drum?
There is something very special about creating a drum with your own hands. From choosing the hide, to stretching and lacing your drum, to finally hearing its voice for the very first time, it is an experience you will never forget.
Join me this Samhain for a beautiful day of drum making, connection and ceremony.
You will be guided through the whole process of creating your own 16 inch or 18 inch medicine drum, with a choice of skins available. You will also make your own drum beater to accompany your drum.
And the day doesn’t end when the making is finished.
We will complete our time together with a drum bonding ceremony, beginning that very personal relationship between you and the drum you have brought into being.
If the weather is dry, we will take our finished drums onto Dartmoor for our bonding ceremony within a Dartmoor stone circle.
Samhain feels like such a beautiful time to make a drum. A time when the veil is traditionally considered thin, when we remember and honour our ancestors, turn inward and prepare for the darker months ahead.
