Samba Reggae Percussion Workshop - September Pop-Up | Toronto
Ever wanted to play Brazilian drums? This two-hour pop-up workshop is where you start.
Samba reggae comes from the streets of Salvador, Bahia - the rhythm blocos like Olodum and Ile Aiye carried from their neighbourhoods to the world stage. You get a drum, learn your own part from zero, and by the end the whole room plays the groove together as one band.
Most people who come have never held a drumstick. That is exactly who this is for. All instruments provided - real Contemporanea drums. All levels welcome. Under 18 with a parent or guardian.
Led by Pato Irie, director of Toronto samba reggae group TDot Batu.
