Come and learn the basics of Samba, an Afro Brazilian dance of the African Diaspora, with focus on it's history rooted it resistance and joy
About this Event

Did you know Samba was once considered illegal in Brazil due to it's ties to formerly enslaved Africans? Did you also know each of the major Samba schools has a patron Orixa? No? Come and learn more as we dance through the Roots or Samba, Orixa movements and Samba No Pe basics. All dance levels and gender expressions welcome. Must be 18+.
