Learn how to play samba pagode with Francisco! Don’t miss this opportunity to attend a percussion workshop with him before he heads back to Costa Rica. Francisco has been teaching people the joy of playing samba for over 20 years and is an expert at meeting each student where they are on their musical journey. This will be a unique opportunity to attend a fun and inclusive workshop where you will learn the fundamental rhythms and techniques of how to play Brazilian samba drums.The workshops is open to all experience levels and will focus on rhythms and the hand instruments typically associated with samba or “pagode” music; Pandeiro, tantã/rebolo, surdo, tamborim.

Escola de Samba Denver offers weekly Samba Bateria classes with our mestre, Vincent Gonzalez on Wed nights 6:30-8:00pm.
