About this Event
About the Event
Salud Presents "Terapis of Immigrants" Mental Health Social a mental health talk social & talk series to support families impacted in Chicago.
The attack on immigrants & harm to our communities is creating collective trauma whether we recognize the impact or not. Families are in need of help, but are prioritizing safety before care as a result. Salud Chicago will create spaces that feel safe to us through intimate gatherings and conversations led by Latino clinicians and licensed professionals who understand the current moment.
Terapia of Immigrants is a mental health social & talk series rooted in Chicago neighborhoods. With your help, we will raise $50,000 for mutal aid to support families impacted by ICE and immigration activity that has harmed residents.
Join us for a social hour, followed by a presentation and facilitated conversation led by mental health professionals who carry the same stories as our communities. Together we’ll explore how to combat trauma through healing, access, systemic injustice & the current reality of navigating life as working professionals, entrepreneurs, parents, caretakers & all the identities we carry.
This work requires all of us. Please consider attending or visiting our registration link for options to donate.

About Salud Salud is a Latine family founded nonprofit created by and for the community. We are an organization led by psychologists, social workers, case managers, and health care providers who have similar backgrounds to the communities we serve. Salud was started to help normalize conversations about mental health. We believe that if we want to discuss topics like mental health, there should be spaces that offer a safe, trusted, appropriate & professionally led approach to help do so in our communities. Salud applies research & evidence-based approaches to create a safe space to intentionally facilitate these conversations and create space for the communities we serve. Salud acknowledges that these formally led conversations can happen in different settings, from large universities to intimate spaces within our communities. Cheers, ’Salud’ to normalizing our mental health and healing the culture together.
