From Roots to STEM is the theme of this year's Education Fair, and we aim to highlight the amazing programs and partnerships that root us in Community, language, and culture, while at the same time allow us to extend our branches and STEMs into Indigenous futures of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
For more than 20 years, the Education Fair has been an event for families across Salt River Schools and the whole Community to enjoy learning in fun and unexpected ways. It is free and open to the public, so we hope you will help us spread the word! Join us Thursday, April 2, from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Accelerated Learning Academy Gymnasium.
We really thought outside the Bunsen burner for this one: There will be fun science fair activities, cultural art demonstrations, a student robot-building contest, GREAT PRIZES, and a tradish-ish O’odham dinner by award-winning Chef Shannon Reina for the first 300 people!
The Education Fair highlights Salt River Schools sites, departments, and programs, as well as our Community and business partners - this year's event boasts more than 50 resource tables, each with activities and giveaways! Check out a list of our confirmed partners below.
