Salsabeel Cafe @ ICJC | Grand Opening

The Islamic Center of Johnson County’s original building served as our community’s prayer space until the opening of the new masjid in 2016. Since then, it has been used primarily for classrooms and meetings.

In Ramadan 2024, the ICJC Youth transformed the lower level into a Youth Lounge, giving it a new name — the Salsabeel Center. This initiative quickly gained momentum, as the community recognized the need for a welcoming space on masjid grounds where we could not only pray, but also gather, connect, and build meaningful conversations.

By early 2025, the city approved plans to expand the Salsabeel Center, creating additional space on the lower level to bring this vision to life.

On November 1st, we invite you to join us for a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Duʿāʾ (prayer) as we officially open the doors of the Salsabeel Cafe @ ICJC — complete with a new community coffee shop. This marks the beginning of a space designed for reflection, conversation, and connection.
