Salsa, Your Way: Playful Dance Workshop 💃

Imagine the biggest smile. The kind that arrives when your body surprises you: “I didn’t know I could do that!”

MEZCLAO class is where we play like a child. 🐣🐣 As adults, we get used to following scripts and rules. But what if a few simple ingredients and a little curiosity could take us somewhere unexpected? We begin with simple salsa rhythms and steps, let ourselves explore and make room for the beautiful to unfold.

The class

Meet: Gather in a circle, meet one another, and set an intention.

Awaken: Drop into body through a free-flowing movement ritual. Wake up your senses, from feet to fingertips.

Groove: Follow cues into easy, energizing movements inspired by salsa’s rhythm and steps. Set perfection aside and enjoy simple pleasure of moving.

Connect: Take that groove on an adventure with a partner. Lead, listen, respond. That's it!

Mateo (guy in pic!) brings a background in salsa, contemporary dance and contact improvisation.
