Are you ready for the last Street Dance of the Summer!?! Mark your calendars, Winona, because this one’s going to be HOT. Downtown Third Street will be twisting and vibing to the sounds of LIVE Latin music at the much-anticipated fall dance “Salsa In The Street!”On Friday, September 20 from 6-11 pm, the community is invited to a free dance party thrown by River City Ballroom Dancers/Breitlow Ballroom. Angel Chavez will teach a beginning Salsa lesson from 6-7 pm, Salsa del Soul will provide LIVE Latin music from 7-9 pm, and DJ Louis will bring the night to an epic close with Latin club beats from 9-11 pm.
Salsa del Soul is a Twin Cities-based, nine-piece orchestra that performs various styles of dance music from the Spanish-speaking regions of the Caribbean. They represent some of the finest talents in the Twin Cities Latin music scene with styles including Son, Son Montuno, Plena, Cha-cha-cha, Bachata, Merengue, Timba, and, of course, Salsa!
This incredible event will be on Third Street at the corner of Center Street (in front of Blooming Grounds) and is part of the Winona Main Street "Winona in the Street" series.
