𝘼𝘽𝙊𝙐𝙏 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘾𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙀𝙎:
At Salsa Shrewsbury we believe SᗩᒪSᗩ and ᗷᗩᑕᕼᗩTᗩ is all about having fun!
You don't have to worry about having never done salsa or any dance before, you can just turn up and get involved!
We are very welcoming and everyone loves first timers! We were all there once!
• For 𝘼𝘽𝙎𝙊𝙇𝙐𝙏𝙀 𝘽𝙀𝙂𝙄𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙍𝙎 and 𝘽𝙀𝙂𝙄𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙍𝙎 come to Beginners class! A fun one hour introduction to salsa & Bachata, where we go over the basic steps and each week introduce new beginner level moves!
After the first class we run mini beginners social so you can practice your moves and socialise, then after that we run a second beginners class to go over what you have learnt in class and give you a couple extra moves!
• For the more 𝙀𝙓𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙀𝘿 𝘿𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀𝙍 why not check out our Improver and Intermediate classes - Here we focus on taking you to the next level in every element of your dancing.

• During the first of our salsa classes, we lay the foundations of your salsa dancing – connection, technique, rhythm and lots of beginner level moves.
• We will reinforce the key elements that you need to have perfected before you can tackle the more complicated stuff! For this reason, we recommend that you continue attending Beginners for a while after you move up to improver to cement your learning.

• Our Beginners syllabus is based on a 10 week rolling lesson plan. Don’t worry if you’re joining us midway through the 10 week rolling syllabus – we’ve designed each lesson so that it stands alone and new people can jump right in, whenever they join.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿?:
This class is suitable for absolute beginners, people who have never danced before and people who have just started their Salsa or Bachata journey!
In this class we will teach you the basic fundamentals that you will need to start Salsa or Bachata. But it is also very useful for all Salseros and Bachateros who want to really cement their learning and to tighten up their technique.

𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦/𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦:
- 𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙭𝙩 𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 ! -
• So you've smashed through our 10 week Beginners syllabus a couple of times now or you've been dancing for quite a while... Now it's time to step up! Each week from 19:00 AND 20:00 we will take your dancing to the next level!
• Running on a 10 week syllabus which runs in line with what is happening in Foundations (so you can polish up your technique and basics before the class!) we will focus on adding to your vocabulary of moves as well as breaking down formulas to help you put together seriously good combinations.
• As well as adding to your list of moves we will look to give you additional tips on adding musicality and your own style to your dancing.
These are classes not to be missed!

• After all the work it's time to unwind, get yourself a drink, have a dance and socialise!!
• The socials are the reason we do the classes and it's the reason so many people get so addicted to salsa! It's great fun and a great way to meet new people!
• Here in the socials it is your time to practice what you have learnt and have some fun dancing! It's the best way to cement friendships and get some exercise too!
• After every class we also go for a drink in town, so feel free to join us to continue your socialising!

Hidden away in the centre of Shrewsbury is one of the best event venues in the county! The Morris Hall is a Tudor themed building with a large sprung wooden dance floor!
Not only that but the small dwarf walls with red sand stone capping on each side of the steps in front of the hall, which mark the footpath, are of special interest as these were formerly in the garden of Shrewsbury’s greatest son – Charles Darwin.
Located opposite the Market Hall clock tower between Ottolive Bakery and the Phone Box, the venue is tucked away down a little passageway, so look out for our banners and pop up stand which highlight our location!

🚗𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥:
The largest car park closest to The Morris Hall is Frankwell Riverside Car Park, Frankwell Quay, SY3 8HQ.
Though if you want to park outside the venue, there is on street parking available on Claremont Street, and numerous pay and display car parks that are free after 6pm near the venue the nearest being Barker Street (SY1 1QH), Bridge Street (SY1 1QT) and St Austin Street Car Parks (SY1 1QT), all of which are a 1-2 minute walk away from the venue.

🚌𝐁𝐮𝐬:
Don't drive? There are plenty of buses that go to the centre of Shrewsbury all of which are a 2-3 minute walk to the venue.
A host of town bus services stop outside the Market Hall which is next to the Morris Hall on Shoplatch; including routes 1, 3, 8, 19, 21, 23, 26 and 27. Direct services are also available from Bayston Hill, Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Whitchurch, Cardington, Pulverbatch and Telford. More information on bus services which call at Shoplatch is available via bustimes.org

🚂𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧:
Coming from out of town? The Morris Hall is only a 10 minute walk from the Shrewsbury train station! When you get out of the station just walk straight along the river until you get to the Morris Building, turn left towards the clock tower and the Morris Hall is over the road from the clock!
