About this Event

Attention! We have a new gorgeous and huge place to train and dance. Welcome to our Crash Course series for Absolute Beginners on Sundays at Love Dance HTX. Each Sunday we will focus on a particular Latin Dance.

Sunday May 19th: Salsa 101 for Absolute Beginner.

If you are looking to learn Salsa in Houston, join this class. We cover everything from the basics steps, turns, and foundations that will help you become a graceful dancer.

We start with the basic steps and variations. How to connect in open and close position. What the rhythm of Salsa is all about; How to identify the music; how to do fun social turns on the dance floor at the beginner level. What to expect to reach a higher level of dancing later.

This workshop is for Brand new students and absolute beginner that want to start learning from scratch.

Singles and couples welcome. You don't need to bring a dance partner, and if you do, you can stay together. No dancing experience required.

Register online and save! It helps us keep the class balanced.

? Ultra beginners! We start from scratch. No experience required.

? Casual / Gym attire. Low heels or flats. Leather soles recommended. Avoid rubber soles and sandals.

? Food and bar available.

? Event is for ages 18+. Singles rotate. Couples can stay together.

COURSE SCHEDULE

5:15p: Check-in - by the Hallway. Wait for instructor to gain access to the studio.

5:30p: Beginner figures, turns, footwork.

6:30p: Basic Salsa figures and easy combinations.

7:30p: Chill at Holler Brewing Co.

✓ Early Registration: $25/lady, $35/gent, $50/couple. In advance, paid online.

✓ Door Registration on Sunday: $40/person at the door. Text for availability. Do not show up unannounced.

✓ Singles, please do not walk-in. We need to keep the ratio between leads and follows even.

We accept cash, Venmo, Cashapp and Zelle. Please no credit cards at the door.
