Join us for Salon de Résistance. On September 25 at Black Iris, we’ll be hosting “The Death of Science in America," a conversation about the attacks on, research, scientific discovery, and what we stand to lose when politics undermines progress.
Salon de Résistance is a live interview series on science, politics, innovation, and culture.
Hosted by RVA Mag at Black Iris, the series runs through the end of the year—breaking down the forces reshaping American life through conversations with guests whose insights come from lived experience, creative practice, and expertise.
This isn’t a panel or a lecture. Salon de Résistance is a gathering of voices and ideas, creating the dialogue democracy needs and sharpening our collective insight.
6:00pm:
Drinks and conversation, set to vinyl flips from Le Cachet Dulcet.
7:00–8:30pm:
A live conversation with scientists working on the frontline of discovery (guests announced next week).
8:30pm:
More drinks and a chance to connect with our guests, develop perspectives, and reflect on the conversation.
