We saw Salford Jets at Rebellion and loved them and hassled them so much that eventually they came and played for us. And obviously we did not upset them too much cos now they're back! Hurray! Salford Jets were formed 1977, original members; Mike Sweeney (lead vocal); Diccon Hubbard (bass/vocal );Dave (Shakey) Morris (drums/vocal );Don McKintyreBotox played for us before too - they're great! Snotty London-based rock n' roll. 1,2,3,4!
Salford Jets
Combining punk, rock and roll and rhythm and blues, the Salford Jets, with their energetic performances and upbeat songs flew the music flag for the city.
Forming in 1976 and hitting the charts in 1980 with the gobby “Who You Looking At?”, they also appeared on national tv with other 3- minute pop ditties, including “Gina (I’ve Got A Cortina)” and “She’s Gonna Break Your Heart”.
No mid-Atlantic pretensions here, Mike Sweeney sang in a Salford accent with a huge personality that landed him a presenter DJ job at Piccadilly Radio, becoming the best known voice in Greater Manchester, a mate to everyone.
The Jets folded in the early Eighties, before unfolding in 2002 and releasing a compilation CD, “Manchester Boys” in 2006.
The Salford Jets – fun, fab and totally, totally Salford…

Botox
Botox are guaranteed to get things off to a very energetic start. Their 1977 “Live At The Roxy” approach to playing punk rock is always very well received. Their singer performs like Johnny Rotten auditioning for stunt work. Just what you needed to kick-start the action.
Plus the Young Loud & Snotty DJs playing everything that's YL&S
