In this practical, supportive workshop, we’ll explore why selling feels uncomfortable for you and how to approach it authentically.
About this Event

If the word “selling” makes you want to hide under a blanket, avoid social media, or apologise for talking about what you do — this workshop is for you.

Many thoughtful, ethical people struggle with selling because they associate it with pressure, manipulation or “pushy” behaviour. Yet if you run a business, offer a service, freelance, coach, create, consult or simply need to advocate for yourself, some form of selling is part of life.

In this practical, supportive workshop, we’ll explore why selling feels uncomfortable for so many people, especially values-led women and helping professionals, and how to approach it in a way that feels authentic, relational and genuinely helpful.

Attendees will leave with:

• A healthier, more confident relationship with selling

• A clearer understanding of how to talk about what they offer

• Practical ways to start conversations naturally and ethically

• Simple language and approaches that feel human, not “salesy”

• More confidence to put themselves and their work out into the world

The overall vibe will be warm, honest, practical and encouraging — part workshop, part reflection, part real-world strategy, with no awkward hard-sell energy in sight.

About Host: I’m Wendy Clifford, a coach, trainer, mentor and business consultant with over 30 years’ experience helping people and organisations communicate, connect and grow.

My background spans leadership, consultancy, mentoring, counselling skills, somatic, neuroscience and transformational coaching. Alongside running and leading businesses, I’ve worked extensively with people navigating change, confidence, communication and professional growth. I've also been at the pointy end of sales conversations for the past 26 years.

I’m particularly passionate about helping thoughtful, capable people stop hiding their brilliance and learn how to speak about their work with confidence, integrity and authenticity.

My approach blends practical business experience with coaching, neuroscience and relational communication and I love to help people find ways of working and living that feel both effective and genuinely authentic.
