Saint Simons Island - Running of the Bulls Charity Redfish Tournament. Hosted by The Kids Can Fish Foundation.
Your participant will greatly impact the life of youth anglers locally and nationwide as portions of tournament proceeds will benefit the Kids Can Fish Foundation.

Date: October 9th and 10th, 2021
Location: Coast Guard Beach, Saint Simons

? Parking: 250 spaces are available at Coast Guard Beach and other public beach access points at first come/first serve. Overflow parking available at Neptune Beach. Please adhere to SSI parking restrictions and private property homeowners at your own risk.
Registration: Coast Guard Beach parking lot, 6:30 am on October 9th.
First Cast: 8:00 am daily
Lines In: 4:30 daily

Fishing/Youth related prizes for youth winners based on entries.
Cash and Youth prize pools will be announced by September 9th.

$65 Adult Entry, $50 if entered before July 31st

$35 Youth (15 and younger) Entry, $25 before July 31st. First 30 youth participants receive a FREE Kids Can Fish bait bucket. A $25 value. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

⛈ This is a rain or shine event ⛈
- Entry fee refunds are only processed until September 9th Refund is subject to a 20% service charge. Entries September 9th or after are non-refundable.

? TOURNAMENT RULES ?

✅ This is NOT a team event. Single anglers only unless assisting a youth angler.
✅ Adult anglers must possess a current Georgia Saltwater Fishing License and abide by state fishing guidelines
✅ 2 rods per person maximum.
✅ Live, frozen, and artificial baits are permitted.
✅ Qualifying fish are recorded by Catch, Photo, and safe Release. Tournament official must record each fish.
✅ Most spots determine tie breaker. Equal spots result in a tie for place and cash prizes being compressed for lower placings (i.e. true tie for first share 1st and 2nd place earnings, etc).
✅ Leaderboard will be updated in real time via the group Facebook page.
✅ Tournament zones must be adhered to and will be determined by participant numbers.
✅ Boats, kayaks, and air deliver of bait is prohibited.
✅ Only circle hooks can be used to promote clean hook set and safe release.

? YOUTH SPECIFIC RULES ?

✅ Youth anglers are encouraged to do most of the work.
✅ Youth participants must be strictly monitored if entering the surf. It’s encouraged for youth anglers to remain in shallow waters and wear personal floatation devices. Adults can cast for youth participant.
✅ Adult can take fish off the hook and prepare for release.
✅ Youth participant is encouraged to bait own hook, but can be assisted by the adult partner.
✅ Adult parter can hold the rod at base, but youth participants must reel in the fish.
✅ Fighting belts are permitted.

Social events are planned and will feature raffles, auctions, and giveaways:
10/08 - Kickoff Party, 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm. Hosted by Silver Bluff Brewery. 1325 Newcastle St, Brunswick GA. Free event, with music, food trucks, great drinks, and raffles!
10/09 - No scheduled Events
10/10 - Awards Ceremony. Location TBD
