8-8:15am - drop off at Chiefs and POs mess
8:30-9 - walk in to Dockyard
9:00-3:30 participants will spend time at Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF) and HMCS Calgary
3:30 - walk out of Dockyard to Chiefs and POs mess. Parent pick up 3:45-4pm
Please be prepared to spend the day outside in the weather.
Some aspects of this event may change at short notice due to operational requirements
HMCS Calgary - route will include a tour of the bridge and machine control room and spaces, a drone display, firefighting and hose handling demo and hands on activity, and a boat ride (be prepared for cold and wet).
FMF - hands on activities may include a soldering station, a virtual welder, rope tying in the rigging loft, a laser cutter and 3D printer/bolt machining.
Lunch will be provided by HMCS Calgary.

Carry a small backpack with a water bottle.
Wear warm, comfortable clothing with flat soled shoes with a good tread. Dress for the weather, including a rain jacket. We will walk in to and out of the Dockyard, and between activities, at times up to 15 minutes.
Be prepared to be an active participant.
Split into two groups for the day. Each group will visit 2 locations and will participate in the following planned activities in a controlled training environment, with training and under close supervision.
