Join us for Sahra, an evening filled with folk music from the Balkans and West Asia.
With this event we want to follow the common musical thread that reflects the communal spirit and diverse cultures of the region. A mosaic from the Balkans, East Mediterranean and West Asia will guide us through a journey between political and cultural worlds where influences have flowed across borders for centuries.
These musical traditions have long offered a shared language for expressing sorrow, joy, struggle and hope, bringing people together through collective listening, singing and participation. Through this gathering, we celebrate that spirit of togetherness, and will support grassroots organizations working with communities in Lebanon and Palestine.
There will be meze and alcohol from the region, to enjoy with your company throughout the evening.
