Join us for Sahara Nights, a warm and welcoming evening of celebration, film, and connection to mark the finale of Belly Dance World’s North African Dance Project. This free event brings together dancers, friends, and community members to celebrate a year of creativity, learning, and shared movement inspired by North African dance traditions.

The evening begins with the premiere screening of our project showreel, capturing the beauty and energy of our community dance groups from across the city and county. The film celebrates the dedication and joy of everyone who has committed to developing their craft and exploring the rhythms, stories, and beauty of North African dance.

After the screening, enjoy a festive social gathering with a relaxed opportunity to connect with others, reflect on the project, and celebrate the power of dance to bring people together. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase, and all are welcome to join the celebration.

Founded by Nottingham-based dance artist, Janet Rose, Belly Dance World seeks to improve wellbeing and strengthen community through dance and movement. The project champions creativity, inclusivity, and cultural exploration, offering people of all ages a space to move, express, and connect.
