About this Event

Abstract:

Since 2007, staff members from Cranfield University have been involved in the search, recovery, analysis, identification, and repatriation of conflict casualties. The teams work includes a range of dates from the battles in the 18th and 19th centuries, to the First and Second World Wars. Much of Dr. Errickson’s work has been in partnership with the Defense Prisoner of War / Missing in Action Accounting Agency (DPAA), in the search and recovery of U.S Airmen from WW2 air crash sites. This guest lecture discusses the unique forensic archaeological approach, challenges faced, and the successes from working on these deployments.
