Join us for an insightful roundtable hosted by the Fire Department Safety Officers Association (FDSOA) as we delve into risk management in the fire service. Led by expert speakers with extensive experience across safety and fire service, this event will discuss the FDSOA's approach to calculated risk, prioritizing firefighter and civilian safety on every call. Attendees will gain an understanding of FDSOA’s risk protocols, from strategic decision-making models to essential safety measures.
Featured Speakers:
Mike Richardson – With 38 years in the military and fire service, Mike currently serves as a LODD Investigator for NIOSH. His extensive career includes roles as a firefighter, company officer, and instructor, having taught and shared his expertise in 43 states and 8 countries.
Lance Vinson – Captain and Safety Program Lead at Amarillo Fire Department, Lance brings over two decades of experience, including industrial safety expertise from a DOE nuclear weapons plant and a strong focus on evolving safety culture.
Eric Valliere – Assistant Fire Chief at Scottsdale Fire Department and Chair of the FDSOA Board, Eric has been an advocate for firefighter safety for over 30 years. His commitment extends across Arizona and nationally, where he actively promotes the FDSOA and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’s safety initiatives.
