About this Event

This training is for anyone ages 15 & up who wishes to be prepared to raise and respond to concerns about suicide in a relationship with family, friends and co-workers.

Key themes include overcoming personal and community attitudes to seeking and providing help.

What you'll learn:

How to reach out to someone thinking about suicide

How to connect someone thinking about suicide to further support

How to talk openly with someone about suicide through a 4-step model

This program is brought to you free of charge thanks to the support of Beacon Health System and Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addiction.

Local safeTALK training partner organizations are Alcohol and Addictions Resource Center, The LGBTQ Center, Seasons Counseling Center of Michiana, Oaklawn, St. Mary's College, the St. Joseph County Department of Health, SJC Cares, The Suicide Prevention Center of United Health Services, and The St Joseph County Public Library.
