Safe Movements: Winter Safety

This physical therapist-led workshop will discuss how to increase activity with confidence. Join Sully Al-Ostaz, DPT, CMT, senior physical therapist at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Therapy Plus – Westdale on safety issues particular to winter. This presentation will focus on balance when walking on ice, body mechanics and heart rate monitoring with shoveling snow, preventing frostbite, and maintaining with exercises to prevent physical decline over the winter.
