Safe Foundation Trauma Training - Online

The Devon Mental Health Alliance is proud to be working in partnership with Health Innovation Southwest to deliver the Research Engagement Network programme, aimed at improving connectivity between Devon's people and researchers to ensure that the genuine and diverse voice of our community is captured and informs the way we work as a system.

Through the work we've done to date, we've heard powerful messages from people accessing services articulating the importance of a trauma informed approach to research and evaluation, recognising that many of us may have lived experiences that present a barrier to our ability to engage in these processes.

This training session, delivered through expert trainers from the Safe Foundation (https://wearesafe.org.uk/), will act as an introduction to trauma informed practice, providing attendees with the knowledge and associated skills to incorporate this in their work.

While the session will be pitched to have particular relevance to members of the county's research community, it will be relevant for anyone interested in exploring how a trauma informed approach can support the effective evaluation of mental health activity.
