First-timers are not only welcome but encouraged to come perform.
This is an all-ages event.
Show up at 6:30 to ensure your performance spot, but also to watch our musical opening act.
Our Opening Act is Gingy. Gingy is an unapologetically Black vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with a passion for creating that spans across spoken word, musical compositions, and lyrics that lend themselves to genres such as R&B, Neo soul, jazz, folk, alternative rock, and rap: to name a few. With a voice that adapts and a dedication to perfecting their craft, they bring an energy to every performance that listeners instantly connect with.
Born and raised in Chicago, her original music reflects the city's rich cultural diversity, while also capturing her personal evolution as an artist and human.
As Gingy continues to evolve, they remain focused on creating music that encapsulates, serenades, inspires, mystifies, and moves the audience—whether they find themselves throwing it back on the dance floor or reflecting on a powerful lyric. If you’re looking for an artist who will bring passion, authenticity, and versatility- you found one.
Our Featured Poet is Alecia Jay Davis. Alecia Jay Davis is a poet, artist, and writer living in Denver, Colorado with her wife. Originally from Wyoming, Alecia moved to Denver in 2020, and is thriving at the intersection of multiple communities; LGBTQ+, faith & recovery, art, performance & writing. Alecia’s first artistic love is poetry, and she celebrates how it can universally be a tool of expression for lives that are otherwise hidden by oppressive forms of culture & society. Her poems are personal, political, emotional, and romantic. She doesn’t avoid tough subjects like the wounds and offerings of religion, the rewards and punishments of love, or the turmoil of being a political scapegoat. A constant theme in her work is a demand for dignity and justice for LGBTQ+ lives. Her poems have appeared in Ink In Thirds Magazine. She was accepted into the Tin House 2024 Winter Workshop for her poetry. And was just awarded a seat in the Advanced Generative Workshop to be taught by Eileen Myles at Lighthouse LitFest 2026.
