Welcome to Sacred Symbols: Unlock the Language of the Nile River Valley Civilization event! Join us at Nefer Bookcafe´ for an immersive journey into the ancient symbols and meanings of Kemet, the Nile River Valley civilization that predates present-day Egypt. We'll delve into the fascinating world of the medu neter (hieroglyphs), decipher their messages, and uncover the secrets of this enigmatic African culture.
Sacred Symbos is taught by Bro. Edward Landry, a professor of hieroglyphs and mathematics at Westchester Community College.
All materials for the course are provided. Should you want to deepen your knowledge and even get lost in a afrofuturistic mystery set in Egypt, purchase Bro.Landry's book recommendations here or at NEFER beginning March 3, 2026.
This beginner-friendly 6-week course is for adults.
Registrants must begin the couse on its start date, March 3 and are expected to attend every meeting. Subsequent course days are:
March10, 17, 24, 31, 2026; April 7, 2026.
We cannot accept attendees after the course has started.
