Sacred Symbols on Your Skin
A Temporary Jagua Body Art Ceremony
With Kirsten Dalton
Friday, December 18 | 6:30–9:00 PM
$40 | Limited to a sacred circle of 6 participants
At The Soul Purpose
Enjoy a meaningful evening of temporary body art, personal intention, tea, music, and drumming with Kirsten Dalton. You’ll receive a custom symbol applied directly to your skin, creating a visible reminder of what you are ready to welcome into your life.
What is Jagua?
Similar to henna, jagua is applied to the skin and leaves a temporary stain rather than a permanent tattoo. Made from the fruit of the Genipa americana tree, it creates a beautiful blue-black design that gradually fades. No needles are involved.
An Intention Made Visible
We’ll begin with tea, relaxing music, and a welcoming conversation. What would you like more of in your life? What are you ready to release? What brings you to the circle?
Your intentions will inspire Kirsten to create a personalized design incorporating a custom bind rune, a combination of runic symbols woven together to represent what you wish to call in. Neolithic European motifs and other intuitively chosen imagery may also be included.
Kirsten will acknowledge jagua’s traditional Indigenous use in the tropical Americas while incorporating European symbols as a contemporary expression of personal intention.
Time to Relax and Receive
As each participant receives their design, the circle will have time to breathe, listen to music, and enjoy a quiet pause. Kirsten’s drumming will accompany the experience, and sharing is welcome but always optional.
Once the jagua has dried, a clear protective covering will be applied to help prevent transfer. We’ll close with chanting and drumming, carrying our intentions forward through the symbols on our skin.
Please note: Jagua takes time to dry, so this experience invites patience and stillness. If you have fruit or berry allergies, adhesive sensitivities, or very sensitive skin, please contact us before registering to discuss the ingredients and suitability.
Come with an intention. Leave with a personal symbol and a reminder of what you are choosing to embrace.
