Sacred Sundays: Reiki and Sound Healing

Black and Brown Women led Reiki & Sound Sessions are back! A collaboration that begin in the summer of 2023 is returning for the third year!! You are invited to join us every first Sunday to bath in sacred sounds and reiki energy cleansing. ✨

Everything on this planet is made up of energy. We have energy flowing within us and all around us, at different vibrational frequencies. During a sound bath, sound instruments tuned to 432Hz frequency, are used to create high energy vibrations. The vibrations fill the community space and resonate with the energy in our physical bodies and mental space, creating a calming relaxation effect.

Sound baths have been said to:

~ create feelings of inner peace and mental clarity

~ strengthen the mind/body connection

~ reduce feelings of stress and tension

~ aid in relaxation and better sleep

Reiki is a form of energy healing, it helps the flow of energy throughout the body. The power of healing falls more within the client rather than the practitioner. The Reiki healer doesn’t create the healing nor do they create the energy, but they are simply just the channel for the client’s energy. Reiki healing helps restore balance, health, and harmony in the body by aligning your chakras.

During the sound bath, Ashley will scan your body locating blocked energy. During the scanning section of the session, you may experience different physical sensations such as temperature change, tingling, different smells or tastes and different visual sensations. Be aware that some people experience no physical sensation. In either case, be assured that the healing takes place regardless of your personal experience. This can be done hands on or hands off.

Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Pain, Digestive Issues, Fatigue, General Wellness, Grief, Imposter Syndrome, Guidance, Headaches, Increase Focus/Productivity, Medical Recovery, Hormonal Issues, Pain relief, Relaxation, Sleep, Stress Reduction, Voicing your Truth, Trusting your Intuition, Connecting to the Universe, Reducing Perfectionism, Irrational Fears, and so much more!

Please be sure to dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat or blanket, water, sunscreen, and come with an open heart and mind. We will open with a grounding intention setting meditation, followed by a calming reiki infused sound bath, and close with a community circle discussion. We will offer a complimentary oracle card reading and hold space for reflection.

We will be hosting these sessions in the beautiful Holmby Park located at 601 Club View Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90024.

This gathering will be hosted by Ashley Reyes and Chelsey Reese, both licensed therapist blending mental health and hollistic wellness into integrated care.

Ashley is a holistic psychotherapist and a certified reiki healer. She’s been servicing communities of color in the South LA/Inglewood area for 6 years. She provides individual therapy and if a client is open, will include energy and spiritual practices into therapy sessions at a non-profit in South LA. Ashley takes the approach of being gentle, compassionate, empathetic, & honest with her clients. She comes with the lens of being trauma informed, ending generational trauma, & understanding the mind-body connection. She feels the universe & her ancestors carved this pathway for her as she continues to create & hold safe spaces to heal ourselves & our future lineage of generations. Chelsey is a relational therapist, certified sound healer, 200HR registered yoga teacher, and the creator of the health and wellness platform, Power Through Process. She hosts wellness event and lead therapy groups centered around forming deeper connections to your inner self (mind, body, and spirit) and the world around you. She provides relational and somatic therapy to adults, teens, and couples. Her approach to therapy and healing work is client-centered, trauma informed, holistic, and mind-body focused. She is passionate about creating spaces and opportunities for folks, especially communities of color, to engage in wellness.
