We are excited to offer up our platform to a group of local organizers on August 14th for Sacred Sundays!!!
Sacred Sunday is a protest! A protest of the many attempts to erase Black people and our stories from the Hilltop neighborhood. How will we protest? By taking up space!
The day will begin with a walk along MLK starting at McCarver Park down to Peoples Park! Once we have arrived at Peoples Park there will be music played by DJ Don Gee, free community resources, and free food! The goal is to simply take up space, take care of our people, and provide a space for relaxation and connection.
We are currently looking for additional resource providers who would like to be present on this day. We are looking to give out connections to resources, free items for folks experiencing homelessness, and self care items. If you are interested in providing any service please feel free to dm us directly!
If you are not able to make it or would like to support we are accepting money donations and items that can be given out for free! DM us if you are interested in contributing or volunteering!
