Grief and rage manifests in many ways. Each unique to the individual as each person experiences their own life events and emotions. We often bottle up these feelings in order to make it through our days. This can lead to burn out and take a toll on our mental and physical health. Things are heavy for many of us and I wanted to create an offering that allows folks to express their rage and their grief in photographs. Documenting this time in our collective history by gathering community in a shared experience feels necessary right now. To be reminded our rage is sacred. Our grief is sacred. To be seen and be reminded of your sacred existence on this earth.
You are invited to step in front of my camera where you can yell, scream, cry, glare, snarl, laugh at.. or whatever emotion presents itself. You’ll have a safe space to exist while being guided by music and prompts to help you emote and release.
These photos will be part of a project that centers and celebrates our deeply felt emotions. Often seen as bad or something to hide.
Proceeds from this round will go to I Be Black Girl. IBBG is a reproductive justice organization that leads with boldness, innovation and inspiration, actively creating a radical change-making culture that centers Black women, femmes and girls.

Session time: 20 minutes
Receive: 3 edited, black and white images on private online gallery
*must be willing and able to sign a model release as the photos will be shared publicly.
