This course explores the historical and cultural significance of sacred plants used in rituals and spiritual practices across various cultures. Students will learn about the botanical properties, symbolic meanings, and traditional uses of these plants in ceremonies, healing, and religious rites. The class will also cover ethical considerations, the role of these plants in contemporary spirituality, and how they connect humans with nature and the divine.
Caryn Carroll is a licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medical Herbalist with a private practice in Ventura for the past 20 years. Along with Asian Medicine modalities including cupping, gua sha, dietary therapy, and Qigong, she uses Frequency Specific Microcurrent and Aromatherapy in her therapeutic approach. Caryn has taught numerous subjects in the healing arts over the past 30 years and currently teaches Aromatherapy, cupping, and Specific Hands-on Sports Medicine techniques for massage therapists. In her spare time she can be found singing in her vegetable and herb garden or joyfully playing with her first grandchild!
