About the Class:Everyone loves Sourdough Loaves but did you know that sourdough starter can be used in many different ways to make delicious meals for breakfast? One of my family's favorite recipes is my Sourdough Pumpkin Pancakes and Waffles made with pumpkins grown in our garden. I serve them with skyr, nuts and fruit and pure local Maple Syrup.
In the class you will:
-Learn how to use and care for sourdough starter to ferment pancake batter with milk kefir to make high protein gut healthy pancakes
-Receive the gift of a developed sourdough starter that Ashley has replicated for you
-Learn about milk kefir and its fermentation process
-leave class with kefir grains to use to get started making milk kefir at home
-Be given a detailed recipe booklet with process images, recipes from class, and resources that will support and guide you through making this recipe at home
-Joyfully eat a family style meal.

About the Instructor:
My name is Ashley Smith and I am a woman who wears many hats! I am a mamma, healing artist, health enthusiast, homesteader, mentor, and a self taught cook who loves to collaborate and share with others what I learn and practice. I have created Sacred Community Nourishment because I believe food is a sacred bridge to ourselves, each other, and the earth. Cooking, our relationship to food, and the communities we break bread with are deeply sacred. How I interact with food in my daily life is both practical and magical. When I teach classes, not only do I share techniques, I also teach how to weave magic into the mundane in an effort to improve life. I love gathering with groups and cooking together because as a community we can expand feelings of joy and connection while developing confidence and skills.
