This year, all high school students, parents, and parish teen youth groups from throughout the Diocese of Lafayette are invited to gather as one community and experience this powerful Lenten evening of prayer, sacred art, music and community worship.
✝ EVENT SCHEDULE ✝
✝️ CONFESSIONS & MASS (5-6PM)
The evening will begin with Confessions at 5:00 p.m., followed by Holy Mass at 5:30 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Andrew Schumacher, Chaplain of St. Thomas More Catholic High School and Pastor of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Sacred music will be provided by STM alumnus and musician Andrew Ferguson.
Following Mass, the evening will continue with two parallel experiences for parents and students.
🕯️ PARENTS FOR LIGHT (6PM)
At 6:00 p.m., Parents for Light will host renowned sacred artist Jacob Zumo for an evening of reflection centered on the role of sacred art within our faith. Held in the St. Sebastian Room of the Our Lady of Lourdes Cougar Athletic Center, the event will feature a curated display of Zumo’s sacred artwork and a live episode recording of his Saints by Number podcast.
In this live episode recording, Jacob and Fr. Andrew “Fr. Schu” Schumacher will share an engaging conversation as they explore the theme:
LIVING TRUTH, GOODNESS & BEAUTY AT HOME:
Our Fiat in Raising Saints Today
Together, they will reflect on how our “yes” at home—lived through truth, goodness, and beauty—forms the saints God is calling today.
🔥 STUDENT HOME BASE (6PM)
At the same time, students and parish teen and youth groups will gather for a special Home Base experience, including formation, prayer, and Praise & Worship led by musician Andrew Ferguson.
☀️ VISIO DIVINA & ADORATION (7:15PM)
The evening will culminate at 7:15 p.m. as parents and students reunite for Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction, with Confessions continuing to be available.
Celebrated on the Feast of the Annunciation, the evening echoes the Blessed Virgin Mary’s faithful fiat and invites families to consider how their own “yes” to God—lived through truth, goodness, and beauty in the home—participates in the sacred work of raising the saints God is calling today.
Through beauty, prayer, sacred art, music, and community worship, Sacred Art Live!™ Louisiana offers families and young people a meaningful opportunity to encounter Christ and reflect on the call to holiness in everyday life.
