After a young Anti-Extradition Law protester announces she will commit suicide on social media, a group of fellow protestors must race against time to find her before it is too late.

香港爆發反逃犯條例運動，多名年輕人自殺抗議惡法。17歲少女YY在網上預告輕生，引發少年手足們追踪搶救！
Synopsis:
In June, 2019, a series of massive demonstrations against the Hong Kong government’s attempt to revise and pass the Extradition Law led to a chain of suicides by young protesters to validate their opposition. The story takes place on 28th July, a week after the white mob attack in Yuen Long. YY, a 17-year-old girl, announced her attempt to end her life on Instagram. After that, she couldn’t be contacted or located. Nam, the 20-year-old “comrade” she met after a protest-related arrest, and amongst others, frantically searched for her around Kwai Tsing district where she lived. Her photo and other information were posted on Telegram and LIHKG Forum, resulting in hundreds of volunteers joining the search. It’s a run against time. emotionally exhausting hunt, she was finally located in Mongkok, the busiest area populated by young people. Meanwhile, on the island side, protesters are confronting the fully armed riot police. Yet, it becomes a dilemma for those who are still searching for YY.

自香港政府為強行通過修訂「引渡逃犯」條例，而出現多次大型示威及武力鎮壓後，多名年輕人先後墮樓自殺，以死明志。7月28日（即721元朗白衣人無差別襲擊市民的一星期後），曾被補的17歲中學生YY在社交媒體Instagram 留言自殺。同樣於抗爭被補的阿南、Louis、Zoe等人，連同朋友、社工，甚至素未謀面的「手足」組成搜救小隊，於YY居住的葵涌區分頭搜索。縱使Telegram上「救命」公海群組與「連登」討論區的網民仗義加入搜索，卻仍大海撈針。地點從葵盛到全城最熱鬧的旺角，均芳踪渺然。與此同時，示威者在烽煙四起的港島區街頭奮力抵抗，更導致搜救小隊出現嚴重分歧。抗爭與搜救之間，少年們猶如陷入進退維谷……

Directors’ words:
To many foreigners, Hong Kong always looks like a city which enjoys free thinking and style of life. In fact, we always live under all kinds of suppression and oppression. The anti-Extradition Law protests erupted since June 2019 are, in fact, an explosion of all such discontents. Many young people joined the protests out of despair. Committing suicide is the cry of such despair. YY, the 17-year-old girl who wants to end her life in the film may just be one out of 7 millionth. Yet it’s one precious young life. May You Stay Forever Young is a film about such a life.
導演的話:
香港人從來囿於「地少人多」之說，生活、思想皆受盡壓迫。
2019年6月，「反送中」運動爆發，期間多名年輕人以死明志，用生命向政權吶喊。至今，犧牲明志的人數仍在上升，政府繼續視若無睹。因此，市民只能透過網絡自發組織民間搜救隊，一次又一次在香港街頭奔跑搜索。我們為的是在這「地少人多」的城市，從七百萬人之中救回一命。

《May You Stay Forever Young》Screening Tour in America ? 6.12-8.31
In 2019, over two-million Hongkongers took to the street to protest against a proposed extradition bill in Hong Kong. Even though it has spread into a city-wide movement, the Hong Kong government remained standing against the will of the people. Surrounded by the sense of hopelessness, a wave of suicidal cases occurred across the city. Many young people joined efforts to find and rescue people who cried out in pain. In May You Stay Forever Young, Director Rex Ren and Lam Sum captured the story of a group of young people searching for a girl who wants to end her life. This youth drama has been banned in Hong Kong due to its political context, but it still found ways to reach the global audience and be awarded the Netpac Award at the 2021 Golden Horse Film Festival.
The story of May You Stay Forever Young sets its scene in the early stage of the 2019 Anti-Extradition movement in Hong Kong. Three years on, we decided to bring this part of the movement to the US. The film will stage a nationwide screening from June to July in cities including San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston and more.
《少年》美國巡迴公映 ? 6.12-8.31
2019年，逾二百萬個香港人上街抗議《修訂逃犯條例》，開展了一場由年輕人為主導的示威和抗議活動。香港政府一直漠視民意，整座城市被籠罩着強烈的無力低壓感，有抗爭者開始以死明志，並開始牽起一連串的自殺事件。很多素未謀面的年輕人發起救人行動，為拯救站在自殺邊緣的同路人。香港導演任俠、林森將這個故事呈現在《少年》當中，紀錄多名年輕手足四處追蹤營救自殺少女的故事。雖然當中過程屢遇挫折，成品亦無法在香港播放，但這齣青春片依然排除萬難，更在去年的台灣金馬影展中榮獲奈派克獎。
《少年》的故事設定於反修例運動初期，在三年後我們希望把這個故事帶來美國。《少年》將會在六月至七月於美國進行巡迴公映，放映城市暫時包括San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston。
The screenings in SF Bay Area are co-organized by We The Hongkongers, Hong Kong Liberation Coalition (HKLC), US HongKongers Club, and Far East Freedom Youth League.
