The 2023 season’s run of high-speed, high-stakes Miles will open on Mother’s Day weekend with the Sacramento Mile at Cal Expo on May 13. Located in one of dirt track’s traditional hotbeds, the famed race is rich with history and has been the scene of countless down-to-the-wire battles over the decades. Claiming victory at the Legendary Sacramento Mile is something all dirt trackers aspire to but only a select few ever accomplish. Over the past four decades (plus), only eight riders have stood atop the podium in the premier class at Cal Expo – Scott Parker, Chris Carr, Bubba Shobert, Bryan Smith, Ricky Graham, Jared Mees, Jay Springsteen, and Dallas Daniels, who joined that elite company last season.
