Sac State Dance Team Senior Recruitment Clinic

Join us for our Spring Dance Team Clinic, designed exclusively for high school seniors, current college students, and college transfer students interested in pursuing dance at the collegiate level. This immersive clinic offers an inside look at what it’s like to train and perform as a member of the Sacramento State Dance Team.

Led by the Sac State Dance Team coach and current team leaders, this style-based clinic focuses on collegiate dance team technique and performance quality. Dancers will train in the core styles performed by the Sac State Dance Team: pom, jazz, hip hop, and game day. Participants will learn choreography pulled directly from routines the team has performed this season, providing an authentic and realistic team experience.

What to Expect:

• Refine collegiate-level technique, performance quality, and precision
• Receive individual and live feedback from coaches and team members
• Perform choreography in small groups for focused evaluation
• Experience a mock audition-style setting with real-time coaching notes
• Standout dancers may be offered a First-Cut Pass for 2026 auditions
• Participate in a campus tour led by current team members
• Join a breakout Q&A session with current team members for feedback and insight

This clinic is designed to give dancers a true glimpse into a Sac State Dance Team practice, from learning choreography to receiving feedback in a high-expectation, collegiate environment. It’s an invaluable opportunity for dancers ready to take the next step toward collegiate dance.

• Date: Sunday, March 22nd
• Registration: 11:45 AM
• Clinic: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Dress Code:

• Please dress in whatever you feel most comfortable. Hair preferably down.
• We encourage you to bring a baggy shirt and sweats for hip hop.
• You are welcome to bring poms if you have them.
