THE SABR ELIMINATION MILE
120 runners. 40 teams. One mile to start - then the field begins to shrink.
Everyone runs the opening mile with no eliminations, earning points toward the overall standings. From there, the elimination rounds begin:
3 runners are eliminated each lap in Round 2
2 runners eliminated per lap in Round 3
1 runner eliminated per lap in Round 4,
Final 8 showdown.
Throughout the night, runners accumulate points toward two titles: Individual Champion (male & female - based on accumulated points) and Team Champion (based on accumulated points). Teams consist of 3 runners, with a minimum of 1 female runner per team.
After the racing, we take it to The Annex for an official after-party from 9 PM–12 AM.
