The Sabbath Dance takes the framework of Ecstatic Dance and uses it to explore Jewish ritual. By mapping the dance onto the Friday Night service of Kabbalat Shabbat - a tradition rooted in Jewish mysticism- we explore the thematic resonances of the ritual through the modality of movement.
