About the Book:
Aiz is an orphan raised by the slums of the Empire. After spending her life paying for the greed of others, she is desperate to incite change. Sirsha is a tracker whose secrets have kept her on the move, but her latest job has her questioning how far she is willing to go to outrun her past. Quil is the crown prince of the Empire. While he may be brave in the face of battle, the price of power makes him reluctant to take the throne. Three stories, three fates intertwined. Set a generation after the events in An Ember in the Ashes, this new fantasy adventure stands alone to captivate faithful fans and new readers alike.
About the Author:
Sabaa Tahir is a former newspaper editor who grew up in California’s Mojave Desert at her family’s eighteen-room motel. There, she spent her time devouring fantasy novels, listening to thunderous indie rock, and playing guitar and piano badly. Her bestselling An Ember in the Ashes series has been translated into more than thirty-five languages, and the first book in the series was named one of TIME’s 100 Best Young Adult Books of All Time. Tahir’s most recent novel, All My Rage, won the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature, the Michael L. Printz Award, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Award for Fiction and Poetry, and was an instant New York Times bestseller.
